Abstract:

Nations have created legends and myths in their lives which were acceptable for them and they had deep belief in them. These myths are more colorful among some nations. Arab poets, also, have used Arabic and even other nations' myths in their poetry, and regarding the environment and conditions have used their thoughts by implementing these ideas. We have tried, in this essay, by describing the vocabulary and mythical expressions and brief familiarity with some of the most well-known Greek, Mesopotamia, Ancient Rome and Egypt myths, deal with the Contemporary Arabic poetry and investigate some of their poetry in their distinguished ones to know the reasons of the application of myths in the modern poetry.

Abstract:

Khuzestan Arabic poetry in Contemporary age has continued its progress and dehiscence. In spite of following old poetry, it shows the changes and renewal in the form and poetical objects and style. This poetry has been influenced by Contemporary Arabic poetry and its poets followed great Arabic poets such as Mahmood Sami al-Barodi and Ahmad Shoqi. They have composed the poems while frequently comparing them with particulars of literary schools like classicism, romanticism, symbolism and realism and realism. We can see manifestations of this change and renewal by young poets as Abd al-aziz Hemadi, Foad Ashore, Hosin Torfi, etc. They could enrich their poetry by two old and new cultural heritages.

Abstract:

The neo-Romantics of the Contemporary Arabic literature (the followers of Europian Romanticism). are among the forerunners who wanted to follow the modem literary changes. The emergence of Romantic Literary School in Arabic poetry is supposed to be the start of a undamental change in Arabic literature.as the start of a drastic change. Although their efforts mostly emphasized the reform of content while relying on two elements of 'veracity of sentiments' and 'organic unity' in poetry; soon after, this change was more and more developed by proponents of modem poetry. In less than half a century, the whole Arabic poetry was gradually affected by this unique change.

Abstract:

The notion of the ideal city is a seductive vista, beckoning from the realm of aspirations and dreams. It stands as a realm untouched by pain, suffering, or illness a symbol of a flawless and utopian reality. In Contemporary poetry, poets often turn to the imagery of this ideal city within their verses, seeking solace from the tribulations and yearnings of their time. This research, employing an analytical-comparative approach, delves into the conceptual origins of the ideal city within the poetry of Fadavi Taqvan and Zhaleh Esfahani, following a brief exploration of their life narratives. The study aims to unravel the shared themes and distinctive nuances embedded in their poetic renderings. This research holds significant value as it pioneers a comprehensive exploration of the ideal city concept within the works of these two female poets. Such an in-depth comparative analysis has been notably absent in existing scholarly pursuits. A key revelation of this study is the tendency of both Fadavi Taqvan and Zhaleh Esfahani to seek refuge in the ideal city through select verses, allowing them to transcend political challenges and personal tribulations. Their poetry breathes life into this utopian city, framing it within contexts such as revisiting childhood, reminiscing about ancestral lands, experiencing absolute tranquility and envisioning a dreamlike homeland.

Abstract:

During the 20th and late 19th centuries, a great number of Arabs from syria, Lebenan and Palestine, looking for better living standards and getting rid of various social and intelectual problems and crises in their home countries emigrated to different countries in South and North America. The most famous personalities of these people include "Djobran Khali/- Djobran", "Ilia Abu Mazi, Michael Naeemeh)"Amin- AL- Reihani" a!ld Rashid Ayyoub and ...Emigrant literary critics, through establishing literal assemblies as well as issuing literal newspapers and joumals helped and improved the intelectual movements which were began long times ago in the Arab countries. The emigrant poets in disseminating romantic attitudes played very deep and vast roles. Being affected by the existing romantisism in America, the resisted against the traditions of Arabic poetry and the old classism. Literary works of the emigrant critic writers differ from the classic works (classism) from different aspects including "topic", "stmcture" and "the spirit of poetry" due to the long effects of European and American literatures on them as well as their own new imaginative and affective aspects. Abstract:

Intertextuality of literary-historic figures is one of the artistic techniques of poetry in modern era being used a lot by Contemporary Arab poets. Because of their proximity to Arab Contemporary poets, the previous classic poets have a great share of the call. Among the previous poets, Abul ‘Ala Al-Ma’arri, known as the philosopher of the poets, with his philosophical attitudes and strange lifestyle and despite his blindness, was one of the greatest poets of the golden era of Arabic literature and achieved a considerable proportion of these intertextualities. In present paper, we initially try to review Al-Ma’arri’s intertextual character as a new critical approach used by Contemporary poets to qualify the manner of poets confront such technique.

Abstract:

A profound change in man's world view in the last two centuries, a radical change in scientific-philosophical concept of stability to constant change, the relativity of all external realities, and the conception of the matter as the origin of existence, all these changes in the one hand, and the political events, specially those happening in the first half of the 20th century on the other hand, have provided the grounds for accepting the ideas of absurdity and purposelessness of the universe. Such changes affected not only philosophical ideas but literature and art as well, and the Contemporary Arabic poetry was no exception. The purpose of this article is to show some of these influences as reflected in the Contemporary Arabic poetry.

Abstract:

The nature of "Time" has always kept man's mind busy to itself. Equally because of its essence and nature which has long challenged the thinkers and philosophers for giving an interpretation and because of its impact on human being and his destiny which has always caused anxiety and uneasiness. Since poetry is the reflection of man's soul and his heart, can easily show this anxiety; it also reflects the poet's perception of "Time". In Contemporary Arabic poetry, "Time" is considered as a distinguished theme of new poetry and reflects these features of "Time".

Abstract:

Understanding of some parts of Contemporary Arabic poetry is not only difficult or sometimes impossible for the common readers, but also this kind of poetry has created problems for the commentators to infer its meaning. This problem is so widespread that has endangered establishing a communication between the Contemporary Arab poets and their readers. As a result, "the crisis of communication" or "azmato-tawsil" has newly arisen in the Arab literary societies. The writer has discussed this problem in his article.
